Ivan Savin, the general director of Traktor, has confirmed that Alexei Volkov will remain as the club’s general manager. Addressing questions about Volkov’s future, Savin stated that Volkov still has a year left on his contract. When asked if Volkov’s responsibilities would change, Savin replied, “His responsibility will increase, just like mine. We must avoid the mistakes made this season and work more efficiently.” Savin also dismissed rumors that Volkov would have less autonomy due to errors this season, explaining that all decisions are already made collectively by the board of directors, though board members will pay closer attention to every move after the disappointing season. Traktor was eliminated in the first round of the Gagarin Cup playoffs, losing 1-4 to Ak Bars.
